Misleading the Country
Bush-style:
escalation surge was to be a temporary increase in the number of troops. Regardless of whether they kicked ass were successful, the troops were due to come home because it is against regulation for them to be deployed for such long periods of time. The AP should at least bother to report that simple fact.
